Tuning Car Blog features a 1959 Trabant P50 with a modern day engine from a Volkswagon Lupo GTI. Also features leather interior, roll cage. Really, it’s a Volkswagon Lupo with a Trabant body that has been lifted from one chassis to the other, but still must make interesting viewing when doing 180kmph.

I found this photo on the internet but couldn't find any write up to go with it. The filename suggests Trabant, and looking it does seem to be a Trabant engine upside down with the propeller going straight onto the flywheel.
