Trabant Trek - The Book

I have posted about Trabant Trek a couple of times. A great adventure “crossing the world in a plastic car” as the sub title of Dan Murdochs new book telling the story of their journey.

This trip took 173 days to cover 25,882km using three Trabants taking their eight passengers through 20 countries from Germany to Cambodia - benefitting a number of charities.

UK Electric Trabant Project

A Trabant converted to electric power by Martin and Judy of north Bristol. Full details of this project will I’ve been told appear in a future issue of KnightRider (UK Wartburg Trabant IFA Club magazine). Announcing the North of England Micro and DDR Car Rally on the 11th June 2008 to the 14th June 2008 at Major bridge Park, Holme upon Spalding Moor.

A 4-day party with runs games. competitions and beer for all the family, acres of flat camping, free hot meal with pud on the saturday - runs all over the countryside on all 3 of the days leading up to show day - an absolutely brilliant event - meet up with our european visitors and have yerself a Pivo!!

A great site to keep your eyes on if you are interested in sightings of cars you just don’t see any more - we with good number of Eastern-Bloc favorites too.
