Communism Night - BBC2 14th March

BBC2 has a couple of interesting programs showing on Saturday night. Starting at 21:00 with The Lost World of Communism followed later by the favorite DDR film Goodbye Lenin.
“A Socialist Paradise. 1989 marked the collapse of communism in Eastern and Central Europe and an end to an entire way of life for millions of people. Having lived through those extraordinary times, they now tell their stories of life behind the Iron Curtain, looking beyond the headlines of spies and surveillance, secret police and political repression to reveal an astonishingly rich tapestry of experience. We open with a look at the ’socialist paradise’ of communist East Germany.”
If watching a documentary doesn’t take your fancy, then make sure you watch Goodbye Lenin, it’s almost as if a free copy on DVD should come with every Trabant sold

Excellent series, very informative, should be re-shown, and the film, on bbc digital channels. Good choice to show the film.
