A Pig of a Car - a Trabant?
February 26, 2008

The Daily Mail, certainly a very questionable “newspaper” in the UK finally catches up with the rest of the world and announces that Herpa are planning to design the NewTrabi. Congratulations Daily Mail, welcome aboard, now please catch up!
According to the article, and following the Daily Mail’s fantastic reliable reporting ability that it is famed for (or maybe that is not actually the case), Trabants are hard to change gear and steer in. Granted, changing gear takes a little bit of getting used to, modern cars these days do not come with column shift like that used to. Steering? I expect it is a bit taxing for the average Daily Mail journalist to figure out the gears and use the conventional steering wheel at the same time. Try again later maybe…
It suggests that “and was incredibly basic, often having no brake lights or indicators.“, hmmm… I’ve yet to see a production Trabant with no brake lights or indicators….
Nice try Daily Mail, now back to your normal reporting of immigrants, race relations, and the various Diana conspiracies.
For some top quality(?) reporting, read it all here.
